FAQs
Q. How does search engine optimization work?

As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work and what people search for. Optimizing a website primarily involves editing its content and HTML and associated coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines. from Wikipedia

There are a lot of search engines on the Web--more than just the big 3 (Google, Yahoo!, and Bing).  Search engines provide a service that is paid for by advertising.  They have rules about how sites are "crawled" for info, "indexed" for reference, and "ranked" in importance then listed on their search results pages somewhere in the lineup.

How does RBS Web Design contribute to your success with this process?
  • RBS Web Design starts with products that have built-in Google® tools and statistics to help you keep track of the pages that are being visited (frequency and count).
  • RBS Web Design makes sure your META tags contain your business/organization information and key words that your target market would use to find you;
  • RBS Web Design maximizes indexing opportunity by using ALT tags for images on your site;
  • RBS Web Design organizes information on your site to it can be easily indexed;
  • RBS Web Design submits your Web address to Yahoo!, Bing, and Google when your site is completed (it is free and anyone can do it, we just make sure it gets done);

RBS Web Design also recommends and encourages clients to mass advertise their new Web address just like a new "brick and mortar" location because people WILL come directly to your site if you tell them where it is. Those primary site visits will help your ranking over time but most importantly, it gets people to your site.

Q.  Why should I hire someone to build my Web site?

It could save you a lot of money, time, and effort, not only at the outset but also over time.

  • A Web professional can help you assess your overall Web presence needs and recommend products that serve those needs.
  • A Web professional can also give you the "kick-start" you need by establishing your site then turning it over to you for management and providing tech support when you need it.
  • A Web professional can use tools of the trade to make your site an effective promotional tool, create a visually appealing and easy to use site, enhance your site's content to improve indexability and maximize search engine optimization opportunities.
  • A Web professional can also become your resource for investigating new products, helping you evaluate future growth of your site, and implementing new products to meet your growing client base or needed enhancements for your Web presence.
Q. How long does it take to build a website?

The sooner your site is up and running the sooner you can start to enjoy the benefits of a professionally designed, well-organized, website. RBS Web Design guidelines for non-e commerce sites are 1-5 business days for a 5-page site; 5-14 business days for a 10-page site; and no more than 30 business days for larger sites (that can go up to 999 pages in a single site).  All sites are expected to be completed within a 30 day timeframe.

Sites not completed by the 30th day, due to lack of client provided content will incurr additional build fees at the current Webmaster Services rate.

Q. How much does a website cost?

With RBS Web Design, the final cost of your website will be determined by the number of pages you want, if other products are purchased, and if the domain name you want is a premium or non-premium domain.

RBS Web Design packages are competitively priced at $367.05 (start-up cost) for a 5 page, turn-key website that you simply manage after it has been completed.  Annual renewal cost is about $95.00 per year.

You will know exactly what your site will cost before we do any work. Payment is due to begin your project.  Check product pricing here

Yes. Please contact us to discuss. (620) 203-8290 or info@kendarose.com

Q. How long will it take for my website to be visible on the Internet?

After a site has been published, it still requires a propagation period that takes 24-48 hours before the site is fully propagated across the Internet. Re-designed sites that include a domain transfer to us take a minimum of 5 days for the transfer to complete. Given that your site is completed by the 5th day, your site will be visible within the 24-48 hour period.

RBS Web Design does not control the transfer time requirements but we can work around them to get your site completed in a timely manner.

Q. What is expected of me for the site build?

RBS Web Design will meet with you to discuss the overall project, identify products needed to accomplish your Web presence goals, if "Turn-key" service will be included, and content that will be used for the site. Payment for products and services will be expected when you decide to hire RBS Web Design to build your site.

Client is expected to provide all content for the site: text, images, video, audio, etc...whatever it is you want on your site.  RBS Web Design may enhance your content with custom graphics, additional content from sources you may not be aware of, etc. See our policies regarding copyrighted materials.

Once the first pass has been completed, you will be expected to review the entire site and provide content edits/corrections that will be made to the site by RBS Web Design.  You will be expected to respond to test emails, test messages from forms on the site, etc. to ensure that you are receiving the contact and know how to respond to contact from your site using your new products, if any.

Once the edits have been completed, you will be expected to be available for on-site training within one business week of site completion--unless other arrangements have been made in advance. RBS Web Design will need a 4 hour block to go over product management and site management tools with you or your designated Webmaster.  Once training is completed, you will assume responsiblity for the site and RBS Web Design will provide free phone and email support (during business hours) and 24/7 tech support outside of business hours.

On-site support and Webmaster services provided by RBS Web Design will be billable at the current rates.
